In the fourth quarter of 2024, several navigation and maps applications on the Android platform showed varied performance in Lebanon. Data sourced from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends in weekly downloads and active users for the top five apps.
Google Earth from Google LLC experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, starting at 2.2K at the beginning of October and peaking at 3.1K by October 28. However, it saw a decline towards the end of December, finishing at approximately 1.3K. Active users began at around 24.9K, peaking mid-quarter at 32.2K, before dropping to 20.3K by the end of the year.
Radar GO-X: HUD, GPS, Maps by duff hl studio showed a steady increase in downloads, starting at 1.2K and rising to 2.3K by the end of December. Active users followed a similar upward trend, growing from 814 to 1.8K. The app's revenue was consistent, with slight increases to about $3 by the end of the quarter.
The Muslim Prayer - Qibla Compass app from Visionary AI saw its downloads decrease from 3.4K in early October to 675 in late November, before recovering to 1K by the end of December. Active users decreased from 7.2K to 4K over the quarter.
Live Earth Map HD - Live Cam from Appify Store had a consistent download pattern, starting at 909 and reaching 1K towards the end of December. Active users increased from 547 to 650 over the same period, with a slight revenue increase to $2 in late December.
Finally, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer by Appcentric Team saw a decline in downloads from 1.5K at the start of the quarter to 287 by the end. Active users also decreased from 1K to 679 over the same timeframe.
